Malaria is a disease we hear about and often assume it a disease of the past, not affecting many today. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. In many parts of the world malaria is a very active disease and in some countries is actually the leading cause of death.

Malaria Facts

In Africa, one child dies every 30 seconds from Malaria Approximately 90% of Malaria related deaths are reported from the Sub-Saharan region of Africa There are as many as 500 million new cases reported each year Of these 500 million new cases, approximately 2.7 million of that number die each year.

What are the Symptoms & How is Malaria Spread?

Malaria is spread via a specific type of mosquito, the female Anopheles mosquito. This mosquito carries the parasite infected blood that it has extracted from an infected person. When it bites the next person, about a week later, the infected blood is then transmitted to the next unsuspecting victim. This parasitic infection is highly contagious.

Once infected, the symptoms include:

Dizziness Anemia Fever - Chills Nausea - Vomiting Flu-like Illness Convulsions Coma

What can be Done to Prevent Malaria?

Unfortunately no vaccination has ever been developed to help eradicate this disease.

Anti-malaria drugs are available to help prevent infection from this deadly parasite. Unfortunately as with any synthetic drug, these drugs come with their share of side effects, particularly in that they must be taken constantly to prevent infection. That, combined with the economic state of most areas susceptible to Malaria, drug prevention is simply not an option in extreme poverty plagued regions.

One method of prevention that has met with some success is mosquito netting impregnated with insecticide. It is a relatively low cost, but effective method that has made progress in reducing the number new cases in certain areas fortunate enough to have this type of program in place.

Another effective means to both prevent and treat Malaria is the use of Colloidal Silver products. One country, Ghana where the leading cause of death is Malaria, has approved colloidal silver as a homeopathic drug. There has been much success with using a colloidal silver product, The New Silver Solution, to eliminate the disease in people and with no recurrences. Typically when someone is infected with Malaria the disease continues to reoccur in them repeatedly throughout their lives.

The New Silver Solution while not as expensive as regular, synthetic drugs is still often difficult to get to those who need it most. There is a campaign, Save a Child through Nutronix International, the supplier of The New Silver Solution, where those who want to help can purchase a bottle for just $10. With each bottled purchased through this program Nutronix then donates an additional bottle. These donated bottles of The New Silver Solution are then sent to Ghana to help Save A Child from Malaria.
